LET THEM COOK! is a pop-up collab by Chef Jacob-Bao Nguyen and DJ/music producer Steven Nguyen-Khoa Tran. Jacob serves up classic Vietnamese flavors with a seasonal and contemporary POV, while Steven accompanies with a nourishing and aromatic blend of pop, hyperpop, house, and electronica.

Come eat, dance, and celebrate the beginning of spring with BAO x KHOA. Tickets are available for $10, with food available for separate purchase. The menu includes spring rolls, beef and vegan soup options, and dessert. Alcoholic and NA drinks will also be available for purchase. 

Growing up in Portland, Maine, JACOB BAO-NGUYEN learned about Vietnamese culture and food through his mother's side of the family.  It wasn't until the pandemic that he fully embraced learning to cook out of necessity and realized how much he loved and was driven by it.  Jacob's first culinary gig was at the famed Greenpoint-based eatery Di An Di.  From then on, he proceeded to work at some of the most renowned restaurants in New York, including Eleven Madison Park (3 Michelin Stars), HAGS (James Beard Semifinalist), and Oxalis (1 Michelin Star).  Jacob is currently a freelance private chef and runs an ongoing Viet-centric pop-up dinner series called Nha Bao. 

STEVEN TRAN makes, directs, produces, and DJs really fun and good music for the stage and the dancefloor. He has composted music for Marvel, music directed and orchestrated musicals from Off-Broadway to Oregon Shakespeare Festival to Seattle Rep to the Kennedy Center, and worked as a synth programmer on Broadway. Various shows/parties as a producer and headlinging DJ. National Playwrights Conference semifinalist and 2025 Yaddo resident.
