About this workshop:

In this workshop, we will explore playful attempts at translation, creating and exercising our own poetic interpretations. Together, we will hack and demystify language in the age of digitally generated texts and explore different ways we can understand poetics. We will discuss the ways margins of error and untranslatability can hijack conventional understandings and discover our own unique relations to the world.

We will discuss the wide uses of translation in our daily life and the ways it can be used as code. Together, we will exercise our own attempts at creative translating. The workshop will culminate in a series of unique translation poems and a takeaway zine that we author and assemble together.
