About this event: Office Hours is a curated networking event centered on connecting emerging creatives with established, successful industry professionals. You’ll get the chance to chat with a curated group of professionals who can share their experiences and expertise, and meet other like-minded people in social strategy, content production, and brand partnerships.

Chris is the Assistant Manager of Global Creative Strategy and Production at Maybelline New York. He drives the global creative strategy for conversion content across Maybelline’s Eye and Face Complexion categories — shaping the way Maybelline shows up and leads in the digital beauty space.
Dawn Bakare: Dawn is the co-founder of Ola Studio, a creative content studio and event space in DUMBO built to inspire creativity and cultivate community. She is also the founder of Dawn B. Interior Studio, where she helps clients create thoughtfully designed spaces, making interior design more approachable for people who have great taste but don't always trust their own eye. After beginning her career in marketing, Dawn made the leap into full-time entrepreneurship and now spends her time building businesses centered on creativity, design, and meaningful human connection.
Liza Wong: Liza is a seasoned talent manager with over six years of experience in the creator economy, having worked with some of the industry's leading digital talent. In early 2025, she launched Lucky One Talent - a boutique influencer management and advisory firm dedicated to discovering, nurturing, and representing emerging creators across the lifestyle, fashion, and professional development spaces. In the past 18 months, Lucky One has grown its roster to nearly 30 creators, driven by a mission to help talent refine their voice, expand their audience, and unlock new revenue streams through curated brand partnerships, exclusive experiences, and innovative business ventures.
Gabe Pepper: Gabe is Associate Manager of Social & Influencer at Banana Republic. Her most recent work includes the Archive Reissue collection with The Explorers Club, a society that brings together scientists and conservationists from around the world.
Jemma Wu: Jemma is a marketing and business development leader driving growth across beauty, fashion, luxury, and consumer brands. As Head of Partnerships & Sales at Never Have I Ever, she specializes in brand strategy, digital marketing, retail expansion, and strategic collaborations, connecting culture, creativity, and commerce to drive measurable business growth
Debbie Herrera: Debbie is the Digital Manager at Manifest Group.
Lauren Kaufman: Lauren is People Director at Manifest Group. She leads hiring, team development, and culture-building, with a focus on bringing in great people, helping them grow, and creating environments where individuals can show up and do their best work. She cares deeply about helping people build careers that put them in their flow and move them toward their goals.
About your host: Pleased to Meet You is a Brooklyn-based community events collective founded by Taylor Koontz and Kelsey Manganiello, focused on bringing the local community together through markets, workshops, and panel discussions. You can learn more about us here.
Drinks: Land to Sea's cafe, wine and beer menu will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
Access+Seating: There will be mostly standing room avaible for this event, any seating is first come first serve. We'll be on the first floor of a cafe/wine bar with limited seating and standing room available for attendees. Accessibility Information:
Entrance: Land to Sea is located on the ground floor and is an ADA Compliant space. The front entrance has one step, with wheelchair ramp available. There are no steps beyond the entrance to our space. The width of the front door entrance is 35" wide including the doorway. We do not have an automatic door. If you need to access our space using a ramp, please reach out to events@landtoseanyc.com in advance of the event date.
Cafe Space: The cafe counter leads to an open-floor, most often occupied with cafe seating. Seating will be available during the event. The narrowest area is 6’5” and the widest area is 14’2” Access to our back room is available through a doorway ramp (no stairs) that is 35.5” wide. The bathroom is accessible from the back room.
The cafe serves vegan and non-vegan snacks, teas, coffee and wine (subject to availability). Snacks cannot be guaranteed to be nut-free. We have paper cups and napkins.
Air conditioning and electric fans are available in the space.
Bathroom: There is one bathroom, which is 6 ft x 4ft. The door is 35" wide. It is not automatic. The sink is 33.5" high.
Counters: The main counter where the register is and drinks are served is 42" high.
